Bodies in Motion

KNEAD

Set inside a shower, two dancers convey bodily experience without any externally applied meaning.

The sound of flour on to skin, echo of dripping water, kneading of flesh. Repeated sequences mixed with different components create a sensitive and carnal atmosphere. Coming out of Denmark and Sweden, "KNEAD" is made from intuition and with a wish to convey bodily experience and to liberate the viewer from the need to analyze.

Choreographer Disa Krosness crafts the dancers’ movements in a way that is non-sexual and changes with the contexts: "Almost like a song—there are three sections of chorus with a bridge in between and with a coda to end it.”

She leaves the story to be interpreted by the viewer’s own eyes.
