The 18th annual Fine Cut Festival of Films is a collection of short films from student and emerging filmmakers. In this episode, "Pumpkin" from the U.S. (Drama), "Dream Vending Machine" from Tawain (Animation), "Springtime" from Budapest (Romantic Comedy), and "IDIOT" from the Netherlands (Comedy).
"Pumpkin"
Alice's best friend, Dan, lives in another country. When he gives her the bad news about his disease, Alice faces the scary feeling of being away, distant and powerless. And she tries, the best way she can think of, to show him support and love. Even if that means pushing away those people that are physically close to her.
"Dream Vending Machine"
A boy drews a tree house. He hears of a dream vending machine and hopes it can make his dream come true.
"Springtime"
A widower starts hoping that he might be able to connect with the lady next door.
"IDIOT"
Yildiz is a 16-year old mentally disabled girl who wants to show that she is just like anyone else. Yildiz dreams of becoming a fashion model and one day she ends up backstage of a big fashion show where her sister works, and on that day, her biggest dream comes true.
