Season 1, Episode 4 | Link TV
With Mia dead and Jens discredited, Alf considers the case hopeless, but Mads insists to work out the real accounts, which show that Energreen is virtually broke. Mads sneakily gets a major creditor — a bank he tips off illegally — to file a claim leading to bankruptcy with Claudia's counter-bluff failing. Sander's Swedish hitman finds out that Nicky and Bimse sold the computer for two million Euro and demands the cash, leading to Bimse knocking him out.
Thanks to the bank Mads manipulated, Energreen is declared bankrupt. CFO Ulrik commits suicide, and Sander arranges a flight to flee the country with Claudia, but she can't leave Bertram and ends up going to jail. Sander's hitman P reaches a deal with Nicky and Bimse about the remaining cash, and Alf finds out that Sander might not have been the one pulling the strings at Energreen.
A seemingly trivial case of a small carpentry business that has gone bankrupt under mysterious circumstances gets Mads' attention. Claudia is released after one and a half years in prison but her son is in Paris and the only work she can find is at a coffee shop. But then she gets a visit from Energreen's old chairman, Mr. Christensen. Nicky and Bimse still have the auto repair shop - but on the side, Nicky has become an apprentice to the Swede, "P".
Mads has to defend the police's handling of the hostage crisis in Nova Bank. He digs deeper and find that the bank forced the carpenter into bankruptcy. Claudia has her first day at Absalon Bank. P is still in the hospital and will need to let Nicky take over his tasks.
Having knocked down Mads to avoid being caught, Nicky must dump the Swede's car, but Bimse already sold it to East European spare parts smugglers. Looking into the bank's "special branch" record of wrecking debtors' businesses convinces Mads and Alf and even their boss, but they still lack proof. Banker Knud Christensen's security system allows him to catch Nicky spying with the bug, so he confronts the Swede about it. Stock exchange activity and a false rumor to manipulate Absalon bank's price proves to Simon he still needs to fight off hostile takeover.
