A new documentary from filmmaker Koen Suidgeest, "Women of the World: Girl Connected" tells the stories of five women in Bangladesh, Peru, Jordan, India, and Kenya. Each of the five young women serves as a motivational force to her peers because of decisions to follow their hearts and realize their dreams in unconventional ways. The film follows their day-to- day activities and reveals what encourages each woman to challenge existing notions of gender inequality.
