Artisans of the New Century: Casa de Bicis
After 15 years working as a creative executive in publicity in Spain, Jose Marin decided to seek other options in the creative world. He co-founded a cycling shop called "Casa de Bicis" and a new bicycle brand called OXOKI.
"It's rewarding to work with one's hands and to feel the power of creating something," he said.
He appreciates the new visibility cycling is gaining in modern cities.
"The bicycle never went out of fashion," he said. "The urban bicycle disappeared in Spain, not because they weren't manufactured or because they ceased to exist, but because people stopped using them."
"Portraits: Artisans of the New Century" is a short documentary series about new artisans who make things with their hands.
