The world-touring rock star and musician Sami Yaffa explores the music of our little blue planet floating in space. Sami will travel to locations where rhythm and melody are essential to the cultures and meet people whose identities are inseparable from music. He will document sceneries and soundscapes, smells and flavors, and habits and emotions all while meeting people who are given purpose by music - just like he is - although with very different backgrounds. Music is the only universal language — the richness and humanity of it all.

Russia - Moscow

Sami Yaffan's Russian journey continues! The Kulkuri rocker visits Moscow, a city of 12 million, to familiarize himself with the human synthesizer, the beast religion and the healer in the end of season 3 of "Sound Tracker." Among the artists he meets are producer and inventor Vlad Kreimer, Orthodox church choir leader Boris Satsenko, and Phurpa, a group that has roots in the pre-buddhist religion bon.

Where exactly is the birthplace of tango? In order to solve this eternal quarrel between Buenos Aires and Montevideo, Sami follows in the footsteps of the legendary tango artists Carlos Gardel and Astor Piazzola.
